The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has reached an agreement with the Ministry of Transport of Norway to extend the liberalization of freight transport until the end of 2025. The corresponding decision was made during a meeting of the Joint Commission on June 5.
The liberalization of freight transport—also known as the “transport visa-free regime”—will remain in effect at least until December 31, 2025, with the possibility of automatic extension.
The ability to carry out freight transportation without special permits applies to Euro-5 and higher standard trucks for both bilateral and transit transport. These conditions had already been in place previously.
As in previous years, in order to take advantage of the liberalized transport conditions, the truck driver must carry a certificate on board confirming the environmental class of their vehicle.
This marks the second extension of the decision allowing permit-free transportation.
