The Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh met with students from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

During the meeting, the Ambassador highlighted the key areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Norway, including prospects for collaboration in the economic, energy, and security sectors, joint initiatives in healthcare, and efforts in civilian support and humanitarian assistance.

The Ambassador shared his impressions of his visit to northern Norway and discussed new opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and Norway in the Arctic. These opportunities include prospects for Ukrainian scientists to explore the region's potential and analyze the security situation.

The students were interested in Norway's accession to the EU sanctions imposed on Russia.

"Sanctions are effective, and we are grateful to Norway for its solidarity and commitment to increasing pressure. This is not only a matter of morality but also a strategic choice in favor of democracy," - the diplomat stated.

Oleksiy Gavrysh emphasized the importance of combating Russian disinformation through public and cultural diplomacy. He discussed the implementation of projects aimed at promoting the shared historical heritage of Ukraine and Norway.
