On the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh paid tribute to Mykola Radeiko, a Ukrainian patriot, public figure, and founder of the first Ukrainian association in Norway. He laid flowers at Radeiko's grave, highlighting the significant contributions of Mykola Radeiko to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering the Ukrainian community in exile.

After the ceremony, the Ambassador participated in a demonstration organized by the Ukrainian community in Norway. In his speech, he congratulated the participants on the holiday and emphasized the profound significance of this day, which symbolizes the historical struggle of our people for national identity and freedom.

Oleksiy Gavrysh expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers for their bravery in defending their homeland and emphasized the importance of unity among Ukrainians worldwide, particularly in light of Russia's ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine.

The Ambassador expressed deep gratitude to the people and the Government of Norway for their unwavering support of Ukraine during its most challenging times. He emphasized that the solidarity of Norwegian society is crucial and evident both in the political arena and among ordinary citizens.
