The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh held a meeting with the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Norway Jens Stoltenberg.

The parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine, in particular the consequences of the recent massive nighttime missile attacks, as well as the need to further strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

Special attention was given to the energy challenges facing Ukraine in preparation for the heating season, in particular the need for natural gas supplies. The Ambassador also noted the prospects for using Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities to form strategic gas reserves.

Oleksiy Gavrysh thanked Norway for the significant military and humanitarian support to Ukraine, and also expressed hope for the further development of a mutually beneficial partnership.
