The Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh met with Minister of International Development of Norway Åsmund Aukrust.

The Minister emphasized that by helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression, Norway is also strengthening its own security. He assured of the Norwegian government’s readiness to continue its comprehensive and long-term support for Ukraine.

Oleksiy Gavrysh briefed Åsmund Aukrust on the current situation in Ukraine and emphasized the interconnection between the civilian and military assistance provided by Norway to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience.

The parties exchanged views on a number of topical foreign policy issues and cooperation in multilateral formats. The Minister of International Development reaffirmed the Norwegian government’s commitment to keep supporting Ukraine politically in the international arena.
