The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway, Oleksiy Gavrysh, attended the leading energy forum International Energy Forum 2025 and delivered a lecture titled “Shaping the Future of Global Energy – Lessons from Ukraine.”

In his remarks, Ambassador Gavrysh emphasized that Russian aggression has fundamentally reshaped global energy security, and Ukraine’s experience clearly demonstrates that dependence on authoritarian regimes is a strategic vulnerability, resilience is built through decentralization, and green energy is, above all, a matter of security. He highlighted that Ukraine intends to rebuild a modern, decentralized, and green energy system and views Norway as a key technological partner in this process.

The forum annually brings together leading representatives of the energy sector, government institutions, industry associations, and expert communities from Norway and other countries. At the end of the first day, the participants were welcomed by Norway’s Minister of Energy Terje Aasland.
