On 10 November, during her visit to Iceland, Mariana Betsa held a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir.
Mariana Betsa expressed gratitude to Iceland for its consistent support of Ukraine in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression.
The parties discussed ways to ensure long-term support for Ukraine, including projects to assist those affected by Russian aggression and Iceland’s participation in relevant international humanitarian initiatives.
Special attention was paid to strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia, including the use of frozen assets for the benefit of Ukraine, enhancing cooperation in civil protection, and ensuring accountability of the Russian Federation for its aggression.
