The conference “Norwegian-Ukrainian Cooperation in education and business: Key insights and future perspectives” was held at Nordland University (Bodo) on December 8-10, 2014. The Ukrainian side was represented by Head Consultant of Chief Division on Legal Policy of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine V.Soloviov, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Norway O.Hrabovetskyi, rectors and management staff of more than 15 higher education establishments from all the regions of our country.
The first day agenda included presentations of history and potential for cooperation of Ukrainian universities and institutes: NTUU KPI, KNU Taras Shevchenko and KROK (Kyiv), NU Lvivska Politechnika, ONU Mechnikov and PNPU Ushynskyi (Odesa), TNEU (Ternopil), MKU «Ukraine-Pivden» and BSSU Mohula (Mykolaiv), KFA NAU (Kirovohrad), NTU Oil and Gas (Ivano-Frankivsk), VNTU (Vinnytsia), ChNU Fedkovych (Chernivtsi) etc.
Nordland University Rector P.Pedersen and Professor F.Mellemvik, APU representative V.Soloviov, Charge d’Affaires O.Hrabovetskyi and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway J.Fredriksen welcomed the audience on December 9.
Ukrainian representatives (V.Rubtsov, A.Verlan) informed participants about the achievements of commissioned soldiers’ adaptation project and teaching of the NTUU course “Sustainable Development in Manufacturing” at Gjovik University College. O.Iermolenko, A.Bourmistrov and D.Fjaertoft informed about 10-years cooperation of Universities and reported about preparation for implementation of state servants training project.
Representatives of Norwegian companies Egersund Fisk and Itera as well as of NUCC and Nordland University shared their experience in doing business in Ukraine.
The core event of the Conference was a solemn signing of Memorandum on cooperation between the UiN and 12 Ukrainian Universities.
