The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh held a meeting with the Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion of the Kingdom of Norway Tonje Brenna.
The parties discussed a broad range of current matters, in particular ways to improve the effectiveness of support programs for Ukrainians temporarily residing in Norway. Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation aimed at creating conditions that would facilitate their return and employment in Ukraine after the war ends.
Oleksiy Gavrysh informed Tonje Brenna about the current situation in Ukraine, in particular the consequences of the recent massive nighttime missile attacks, and emphasized the importance of providing psychological support to Ukrainians arriving in Norway after experiencing the war.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to Norway for providing assistance in carrying out medical evacuation and treatment of Ukrainian defenders within the framework of the Medevac program. The parties also discussed possible ways to further optimize the program’s implementation.
In turn, Tonje Brenna reaffirmed the Norwegian government’s continued commitment to supporting Ukraine and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
