The Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh participated in the opening of the exhibition “War Diaries: Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children” in Lillehammer.

“This exhibition is not about politics. It is not even about war in the conventional sense. It is about the truth. It is about children whose lives have been irrevocably altered due to the brutal and unprovoked Russian invasion that has destroyed their homes, schools, families, and childhood itself”, - the Ambassador stated in his speech.

The exhibition showcases children's diaries, notes, drawings, and personal belongings that convey the touching stories of children from across Ukraine.

The exhibition was opened within the framework of the World Expression Forum, which is dedicated to freedom of speech. It has become a platform for conveying the truth about Russia's war against Ukraine through the voices of children.

Oleksiy Gavrysh expressed his gratitude to project initiator Khrystyna Khranovska and singer Jamala, who participated in the forum, for their significant efforts in conveying the truth about Russian aggression through art, creativity, and children's stories.

The event also included a screening of a short film about Mariupol, produced by Vladyslav Ponomarenko, a hero of the “War Diaries” project.
