The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Norway carried out the first-ever mobile consular service on the Svalbard Archipelago. Importantly, this event also became the northernmost consular outreach to locations of compact residence of Ukrainian citizens abroad in the history of Ukrainian diplomacy.
During the visit, Consul of the Embassy Nataliia Novytska provided essential consular services and conducted information and awareness-raising activities for Ukrainian citizens. In addition, the diplomats of the Embassy held meetings with representatives of local authorities and businesses with the aim of strengthening cooperation and ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens residing in Svalbard.
Such mobile consular services are regularly carried out by the Embassy in places of largest Ukrainian communities in Norway. Their purpose is to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens, which is one of the Embassy’s top priorities.
