On January 3, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre. The representatives of the two states discussed the financing of gas for the winter period of Ukraine.
"Spoke about the risks of escalation at the front to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre. Conveyed the urgent defense needs of Ukraine. I thanked him for the support given to our energy infrastructure and the financing of gas for the winter period," the President wrote.
During the evening address to the people, he noted the role of the Scandinavian country in military aid. Zelenskyi said that "very powerful decisions" have already been approved and are being prepared.
"Norway's role can become truly historic in the defense of Europe if we implement everything we are talking about now," said President Zelenskyy.
