On March 24-26, 2015 First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Nataliia Galibarenko visited Oslo.
Ms.Galibarenko met with the members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence at the Norwegian Parliament and informed legislators about political and security situation in Ukraine, the course of domestic reforms, and Ukraine's foreign policy priorities. Ms. Anniken Huitfeldt, Chair of the Committee, reiterated inevitable position of the Norwegian Parliament with regard to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed solidarity with our state in carrying out reforms.
Ukrainian-Norwegian political consultations were held by First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Nataliia Galibarenko and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Bård Glad Pedersen. The counterparts discussed the situation in Eastern Ukraine, bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and investment fields as well as in the energy. Ms. Galibarenko expressed gratitude to the Norwegian side for its political support and substantial practical assistance to our state in relation to the implementation of important domestic reforms. In this regard she highlighted Norway's financial assistance to support Ukraine's state budget and meet the needs of the temporarily displaced Ukrainians from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Ukraine's Eastern regions.
During the visit to the Kingdom of Norway Ms.Nataliia Galibarenko met with Minister of the European Economic Area and European Union Affairs Vidar Helgesen. The parties discussed the topical issues of the European integration of Ukraine, having paid a particular attention to the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union and expectations from the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.
