The Ukrainian community in Norway held a demonstration in front of the parliament to draw attention to the critical issue of protecting the rights of Ukrainian prisoners of war, including the defenders of Mariupol.

A former prisoner of war and the sister of a Ukrainian soldier currently held in Russian captivity spoke at the event. They talked about the horrors of captivity and the torture inflicted upon Ukrainian defenders by Russian authorities, in violation of international law.

The First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Norway Natalia Marikutsa emphasized the importance of uniting the global community's efforts to hold Russia accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as to return home all prisoners of war, civilian hostages and Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
