The Embassy of Ukraine in Norway, in collaboration with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, organized a public presentation of the Voluntary Report on International Humanitarian Law by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The event took place at Fanehallen, Akershus Fortress, and was attended by 130 representatives from the diplomatic corps, NGOs, officials of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, and experts in international humanitarian
law.
The representative of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Inna Zavorotko, emphasized that Norway was the first country where the Report was presented.
She outlined the structure of the Report and key provisions in detail. The panel discussion, along with questions from the event participants, demonstrated a strong interest in Ukraine's efforts to implement international humanitarian law in practice in the context of a full-scale war and the systematic disregard for these norms by the aggressor state.
