On the Day of Remembrance of the Chornobyl Disaster, Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh took part in a commemorative demonstration organized by the Ukrainian community in Norway.

Participants honored the memory of those who lost their lives, expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to dealing with the consequences of the disaster, and reflected on the long-lasting impact of the Chornobyl disaster on Ukraine and the entire world.

The event also served as a reminder that Ukraine continues to face new challenges caused by Russia’s ongoing aggression, which once again threatens human lives, critical infrastructure, and nuclear safety. Today, as in the past, the support and unity of the international community remain extremely important.
