On March 5, the documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" directed by Mstislav Chernov, was screened in the city of Arnes. The film depicts the siege of the city in 2022 during a full-scale Russian invasion. Ukrainian journalists continued their work in the city surrounded by Russian troops and recorded footage that showed the truth about Russian war crimes to the world.
Before the film screening, the exhibition "Such a Beautiful City" was opened. The photo exhibition dedicated to the city of Mariupol and its tragedy, presented the works of local Mariupol photographers Serhiy Vaganov, Yevhen Sosnovsky, Olena Sugak, Dmytro Kozatsky, and Svitlana Snihur. Photos of the exhibition's initiator, Danilo Rebro from Mariupol, were also displayed during the event.
The exhibition and the film have demonstrated the way the city of Mariupol had looked like before the start of Russia’s invasion, as well as the scale of brutal destruction brought by the occupiers that have in fact destroyed it.
The event was held with the support of the municipality of Nes.
