"We remember. Never again!” – with these words, the diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine in Norway held a ceremony to commemorate those killed during the World War II. The ceremony, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in Ukraine and the Day of the Liberation of Norway, took place on 8 May 2020 in the Western Cemetery in Oslo. Ukrainian diplomats laid a wreath and flowers at the memorial on the grave of the fallen soldiers, including Ukrainian officers and soldiers, and observed a minute of silence in memory of those killed during World War II. Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide also laid a wreath and flowers at the memorial to the fallen soldiers in Western Cemetery in Oslo on behalf of the Norwegian Government.
