The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Transport have agreed to liberalize freight traffic between the two countries until June 30, 2025. This means that bilateral and transit transportation between the two countries will continue to be carried out without permits.

“The extension of the transport visa-free regime with Norway is another step towards Ukraine's integration into the European transport network and the Ministry's consistent policy of creating favorable conditions for Ukrainian business. The liberalization of transportation between our countries not only simplifies the conditions for Ukrainian businesses by allowing them to carry out transportation without additional permits, but also contributes to the development of our economy and strengthening of international relations. In addition to this decision, for the first time since 2002, we managed to agree to increase the number of permits for transportation to/from third countries by 40%,” said Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach.

The liberalization of freight transportation applies to vehicles that meet the Euro 5 and higher emission standards. Drivers are required to carry a certificate confirming the environmental class of their trucks when carrying out transportation. In addition, trucks must have an extract of the transportation license on board.
