On the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, a large demonstration took place in front of the Norwegian Parliament in the center of Oslo.
In his speech, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Ukraine in Norway Ihor Holovchenko, expressed gratitude to the Norwegian government and citizens for their unwavering support of Ukraine and its people in their struggle for freedom and independence.
The Minister of Defence of Norway Tore Onshuus Sandvik, leaders of Norwegian political parties and representatives from civil society and human rights organizations, delivered powerful messages of support for Ukraine.
The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of Russia's brutal war against Ukraine and in honor of the heroes who sacrificed their lives defending their homeland.
The event concluded with a march featuring Ukrainian flags and torches through the city streets, culminating at the embassy of the aggressor country.
The demonstration was organised by the Norsk-ukrainsk venneforening, Den ukrainske forening i Norge and Amnesty International Norge.
