The Norwegian Atlantic Committee held an open event in Oslo to mark the sad anniversary of the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine in 2014.
Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Ukraine Ihor Holovchenko delivered a speech at the opening of the event. He emphasized the importance of a clear understanding of the essence of Russia's aggressive actions and the scale of the threat that the Kremlin's crimes pose to the security of Europe and the world.
"Ukraine's membership in NATO is the only opportunity to establish a sustainable and lasting peace in Europe, which will not be threatened by Russia, which understands only the language of force," - said the head of the Embassy.
Ihor Holovchenko presented the vision of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula. He also emphasized the importance of concluding bilateral security agreements by Ukraine, including with Norway, for the period before joining the North Atlantic Alliance.
The seminar was attended by historians, scholars, military personnel, representatives of the military-industrial complex, diplomats, and the public.
