Under martial law in the 2021/2022 academic year, the educational process in higher education institutions of Ukraine is carried out by distance or mixed forms. 

Certification of applicants for higher education in 2022 is carried out in the form determined by the relevant institution of higher education in Ukraine. 

Certification of applicants for higher education in the field of knowledge 22 "Health" in martial law in the 2021/22 academic year is carried out taking into account the features approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 19, 2022 № 316, and provides as follows: 

- the first stage of the unified state qualification exam for applicants for higher education is not held and is postponed to the next year of study. The transfer of applicants for the degree of higher education in the third year of study to the next year is based on the results of successful implementation of the educational program; 

- the second stage of the unified state qualification exam for applicants for higher education, graduating in 2022, is not held; 

- the main form of certification of applicants for higher education, graduating in 2022, is a comprehensive practice-oriented qualifying exam, which in full-time and / or distance format is provided by higher education institutions. 

If the higher education institution located in the district (zone) of hostilities does not have the opportunity to provide proper and safe conditions for such an examination, certification of applicants for higher education in coordination with the central executive body, which manages the higher education institution, is carried out by determining the compliance of learning outcomes of higher education students with the requirements of the educational program. 

Thus, foreign students who seek to return in order to continue or complete their studies in higher education institutions of Ukraine have the opportunity to join the educational process, taking into account the peculiarities of its organization during martial law. Foreign students should apply directly to Ukrainian higher education institutions for any questions regarding their education or obtaining relevant educational documents.
