The Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Oleksiy Gavrysh visited Oslo OsloMet, where he met with Rector Christen Krogh and representatives of the university’s academic community.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to deepen cooperation between Norwegian and Ukrainian higher education institutions. Special attention was given to developing the Ukrainett expert network, which unites scholars researching Ukraine, as well as to strengthening academic ties within broader European and international initiatives.

The Ambassador emphasized the crucial role of education as a tool for combating disinformation and propaganda — a task of particular importance in light of the ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine.

The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska «The Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies» with the aim of promoting Ukrainian topics in the global academic and educational spheres.
