Ambassador Oleksiy Gavrysh delivered a speech at the Black Sea Breakfast Meeting, a business event organized by the East European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Norway (EAST CCI) and the Oslo Chamber of Commerce. The session focused on "Doing Business in the Black Sea Region: Geopolitics, Practical Experience, and Expert Advice."
In his address, Ambassador Gavrysh outlined Ukraine's energy sector as an area of significant strategic opportunity for Norwegian and international investors. He highlighted Ukraine's integration into the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E), the ongoing harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU standards, the strategic value of the country's extensive underground gas storage facilities, and its reserves of critical raw materials. Oleksiy Gavrysh also drew attention to Ukraine's potential in hydrogen energy and wind power, noting that Norwegian expertise in these fields could serve as a strong foundation for bilateral cooperation.
"Norway is Europe's energy giant. Ukraine is Europe's future energy hub," the Ambassador stated.
Oleksiy Gavrysh offered to share Ukraine's hard-won experience in protecting critical energy infrastructure and countering cyber threats as practical lessons for international partners.
The Ambassador reaffirmed Ukraine's commitment to evolving its relationship with Norway into a partnership of genuine mutual benefit.
