Dear Norwegian friends of Ukraine!

Please, be advised that a solemn ceremony dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine and the Independence Day of Ukraine will be held in Oslo on Sunday, 23 August 2020 at noon. The ceremony will traditionally take place near the Bekkelaget kirke (Sandstuveien 15, 1178 Oslo) in front of the grave of a prominent Ukrainian patriot, leader of the first Ukrainian organization in Norway, Mykola Radejko. Representatives of all Ukrainian organizations in Norway and all interested Ukrainians from all regions of Norway are invited to attend the ceremony. Participation of children, relatives, Norwegian friends and acquaintances of members of the Ukrainian community in this event would be also warmly welcome. The official part of the ceremony will include a performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, laying flowers at the grave of Mykola Radejko, performances by the Ukrainian ensemble "FolkeMelodi" and speeches of the interested participants (total duration of the ceremony is expected to be up to one hour).
