A ceremony was held in Oslo to honor the memory of millions of Ukrainians who became victims of genocide by the Soviet totalitarian regime 90 years ago. The event, organized by the Ukrainian community in Norway and attended by hundreds of Ukrainians, was held in front of the Norwegian Parliament as a reminder that Norway has not yet recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine at the national level. The participants of the event honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Norway Ihor Holovchenko in his speech emphasized that the Russian regime, after centuries of attempts to destroy the Ukrainian nation and identity, continues to do so even now, after Ukraine gained independence. He emphasized the importance of the Revolution of Dignity for Ukraine's struggle for its sovereignty and highlighted the current events of Russia's full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine. He drew attention to the Second International Food Security Summit, the humanitarian initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy "Grain from Ukraine" and the readiness of the Ukrainian people, who once experienced the horrors of the Holodomor, to continue supporting the global food security even in the face of Russia's invasion.
