Today Ukrainians together with Crimean Tatars around the globe are celebrating Crimean Tatar Flag Day!

On this day Crimean Tatar flags are raised all over Ukraine and in Ukrainian embassies abroad, honoring this important symbol of our Crimean indigenous friends. The national flag of the Crimean Tatar people is part of national unity and identity, as well as the symbol of the desire to live in freedom today.

Diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Norway also joined the celebration under the slogan "Two flags - one country" by holding the Crimean Tatar flag raising ceremony. The honorary participant of this year's event on the occasion of the Crimean Tatar Flag Day was a young representative of the Crimean Tatar people Jens Eldar, who was invited to the Embassy of Ukraine in Norway with his mother from Ukraine Zeynep and Norwegian father Sigurd Lidersen.
