Ukraine is a country of great opportunities, and it has been and will remain a reliable and predictable partner. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during the Ukrainian-Norwegian business forum, which was opened by the Heads of Government of the two countries.
The forum brought together representatives of top Norwegian companies specializing in IT, agribusiness, energy, etc. Most of them have representative offices in Ukraine. During the forum, its participants signed a series of memorandums of understanding in the corporate sector. The Prime Ministers of the two countries signed a statement on strengthening Ukrainian-Norwegian cooperation in the field of energy.
Addressing the participants of the forum, Volodymyr Groysman noted that now the two countries have a wide range of economic projects. "We have a good potential for developing economic relations. Business is interested in investing in Ukraine. And that is why it is important to establish a favorable business climate. We kicked off systemic and important changes, and economy sees growth 14 quarters in a row", the Prime Minister stressed and assured that the Government's reforms will promote such growth. "Ukraine is changing, we are open. We are a country with huge investment opportunities. Our philosophy is simple: you do business, and we, as the Government, will help to ensure business growth", the Prime Minister said.
The Head of Government called on business circles to combine their potential and he claimed that Ukraine is and will be a reliable and predictable partner.
In turn, the Head of Government of Norway noted that Ukraine and Norway are strengthening their cooperation. "We share common values. And now we have to multiply the existing opportunities", Erna Solberg emphasized. According to her, Norway and the entire Euro-Atlantic community want to see politically and economically stable Ukraine. That is why it is essential to exert efforts in pursuing anti-corruption policy, protecting business interests, and creating conditions for entrepreneurial growth. "Today, we have different areas of mutual interest. But there is an area that deserves our additional attention - energy and energy efficiency. And we are pleased to announce that the Government of Norway has decided to provide assistance to Ukraine in this area. I am confident that we will see the results of our cooperation in this sector", the Norwegian Prime Minister stressed.
